Hand-painted Mandalas and Art made with intention. Each piece is created intuitively, slowly and by hand, shaped as much by feeling as by form, resulting in something entirely unique. Crafted with care in Cape Town, South Africa, every artwork carries its own quiet presence. The hope behind it is simple: to inspire joy, and to bring a sense of peace and calm into the spaces it finds its way into.

Hi! I’m Jessica. An artist living life in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa.
Choosing the name “green heART” for my business was, for me, an obvious choice. “Green” is such a wonderful colour and is definitely my favourite. It reminds me of Spring, new life and new beginnings. Green is also the colour of the Heart Chakra; offering a sense of calm, acceptance, healing and well-being. And all of my art really is made with love; from my “heart” to yours. “Art”, in all its forms, is an integral part of our existence; it is more than a simple emotional expression, it is a universal language that transcends mere aesthetics to define humanity. Combining these three words together, “green”, “heart” and “ART”, seemed like the obvious choice, with the added bonus being: You can’t spell “heart” without “ART”.
I mostly enjoy creating Mandala Art using predominantly dot art techniques. Though, as I tend to work intuitively, I do also enjoy creating more abstract Zentangle inspired artworks at times, as well as using mixed media and collage techniques. Mandalas are known to be sacred symbols and are often used in meditation, healing and various spiritual practises. For me, a Mandala seems to bring a sense of peace and tranquillity to the space it finds its way into. I find that creating art, be it a Mandala or an abstract piece, is a wonderful form of meditation as all of my focus is placed in that moment, the here and now. Each stroke, shape, every single dot and colour choice happens in the moment, and in turn inspires what comes next.
